Scrum Master

The ScrumMaster (SM) leads high performing, cross-functional agile teams and is responsible for the execution of product engineering projects. This role facilitates the Project Team through the agile development process of sprint planning, daily standup meetings and retrospectives. The ScrumMaster is also responsible for removing any impediments to help the team meet their sprint commitments.

We’ll expect you to…

Owns the scrum process for their team(s) by ensuring they are practicing core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility

Organizes and facilitates sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and other agile development related activities

Assists Product Teams with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.

Participates proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices

Creates/Maintains relevant metrics to show team how they are standing/working including team velocity, health and sprint progress

Works to remove any impediments that are preventing forward movement on projects/bugs

Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution

Partners with other ScrumMasters to implement best practices through continual process improvement with the teams

What you’ll likely need to succeed…

BA/BS in Business, Management, MIS OR comparable business experience

Strong communication skills

Understands Scrum practices and roles

Understands the software development life cycle

Physical Requirements:
Able to work at a computer and monitor for extended periods of time

Able to lift at least 10 lbs. of weight

Able to operate and use a personal computer
