The Job :

As a Scrum Master in our Mission, KS office, you will have the
opportunity to work with elite Kanban and Scrum teams working in a
collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to work with
multiple teams across the organization – moving impediments out of the way on
your own teams and participating in Agile adoption across the enterprise.
You will also be leading the team to develop new products and services
that will revolutionize how cars are purchased.

Your Role :

Demonstrate Agile principles

· Not only understand
Agile, but are passionate about it.

· Ensure team members hold each other accountable for
adhering to agile practices.

· Resolve impediments – Ability to sniff out team
impediments and induce plans to remove those in a timely manner.

· Inspect and adapt always.

· Stay positive.

· Be a Servant Leader.

· Protect the team; limit external distractions.

· Know methodologies and when they apply (Scrum, Kanban).

· Hold team accountable for continuous improvement regarding
their accurate prediction on when work items are going to be delivered.

· Stay up to speed with company vision, product vision, and
engineering priorities.

· Limit WIP and look for trends on Throughput and Cycle
Time.

· Ability to rally the troops.

· Ability to resolve
conflicts that arise.

Own “the process”

· Ensure that
ceremonies happen at the appropriate cadence and all artifacts are created and
maintained.

· Challenge the team to deliver small units of work.

· Ensure the team owns the outcomes, not individuals, and is
accountable as a whole.

· Monitor the board & challenge the team when work is
stuck.

· Ask the hard
questions.

Key Communicator/Tracker of Team Deliverables

· Ability to
communicate early and often to team and leaders, regarding
progress/concerns/waterlines/trends.

· Ability to show if we are on track or not through the use
of common Agile tools (burn up/burn down/Cycle Time/Lead Time/Throughput).

· Hold Product Owner
accountable to adjust priorities according to business shifts.

Leadership

· Coach and mentor
others on agile and approaches that work.

· Facilitate feedback to team in timely manner on improvements,
what’s working, what’s not.

Qualifications

What we look for:

· Bachelor’s degree and with 3 years’ experience supporting a team as a Scrum Master in Scrum and Kanban teams.

· Strong written and verbal skills.

· One or more of the following relevant Agile certifications is required: CSM, CSPO, CSP, CSC, CST, Scrum.org, DSDM, ICAgile, PMI-ACP .
