SAP Programmer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The SAP Programmer will be responsible for all aspects of the development life cycle including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, implementation, configuration, and support for all SAP modules: FI GL/AR/AP, MM, PS-FM, HR, PY, Budgeting, SRM-CLM, e-Recruitment, and SAP BI including integration with non-SAP applications.

  • Responsible for SAP ABAP development, with both custom development and customizations to existing processes, including use of IDOCs, RFC, BAPI, BADI, ALV, LSMW, ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, Reports BDC, and SAP Scripts.
  • Supports SAP ERP & BI by implementing, solving break/fix issues, and by providing design and development of RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms and Workflows).
  • Translates functional specifications into technical specifications with detailed knowledge of SAP tables/fields.
  • Works independently on high complexity designs & programs.
  • Facilitates design meetings with users and management.
  • Analyzes production issues as necessary to determine the cause of the issue and determine the necessary course of action for resolution.
  • Follows and helps to establish coding standards.
  • Creates and delivers documentation as necessary to ensure proper use of changed and newly implemented efforts.
  • Contributes to achievement of team performance and quality standards as defined by service level agreements.
  • Validates and administers approved change requests/tickets assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of SAP programming experience required. Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 required.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required. Strong analytical and documentation skills required.
  • Excellent problem solving and debugging skills required.
  • Must be well organized and capable of managing numerous priorities in a demanding and fast paced environment. Must be highly motivated and a quick learner.
  • Must possess ability to collaborate with key users to support existing SAP functionality and develop solutions to improve business processes.
  • Must be able to understand production business processes and translate them into sustainable technical solutions. to understand production business processes, and translate them into sustainable technical solutions. This position includes ongoing project-based development work, as well as daily support of existing applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other related field of study preferred.
  • Previous experience with SAP FI GL/AR/AP, MM, PS-FM, HR, PY, Budgeting, SRM-CLM, e-Recruitment development/configuration/integration is a plus.
  • NetWeaver, WebDynpro, Object Oriented ABAP Programming development skills are desired.
  • Experience with BW 7.x is desired.
  • S/4 HANA experience is a plus.
