IT Technician (Entry Level)

Job Type: Full-time, On-site

Primary responsibilities include providing IT support and implementation for the company infrastructure as well as for company employees by working independently and as part of a team.

Candidate will work closely with management to set up, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, computer peripherals, office phones, mobile phones and network equipment.

A key focus will be on helping to maintain and build the IT department processes that will include the creation and updating of documentation while maintaining, upgrading, purchasing and replacing hardware and software systems.

Work will be at company locations (Currently Jamaica and Flushing, New York). Candidate will support and maintain user account information including rights, security, systems groups and licensing. Candidate will install and maintain operating system and program software, deal with security issues and other related tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • IT setup and administration
  • Network configuration and troubleshooting
  • IT inventory management and control
  • First response for all IT related issues
  • Licensing and user management
  • Configuration and management of mobile devices (cell phones, tablets etc.)
  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, support and optimization of PC and peripherals
  • Analyze and resolve end user software and hardware issues in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Work closely with management to identify pain points and identify and implement solutions
  • Build out detailed IT processes documentation
  • Research, recommend and assist in the implementation of cost-effective IT solutions
  • Assist in implementation of IT policies, procedures and best practices

Highly motivated with attention to detail. Positive and pleasant attitude. Enthusiastic about evaluating and becoming proficient in new technologies, processes, skills. Strong desire to become an integral part of the exciting and fast-growing Cocoon team. Demonstrated IT support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Experience and familiarity with relevant technologies:
Microsoft Windows / MS Windows Server; iOS; VOIP telephony systems; Office 365 (User, Groups, Mailbox and policy management); MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; Salesforce; Cloud storage; Adobe Acrobat; MDM;
