SAP HANA Technical Architect

We are seeking an SAP HANA Technical Architect to become an integral part of our development team! You will design strategies for new implementations as well as set standards for ongoing operations & maintenance according to industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

• The SAP HANA Technical Architect must have hands-on experience in SAP and HANA administration to own and resolve technical issues.
• Technical lead in the development and execution of S4HANA landscape strategies and will be responsible for leading and managing new implementations such as S4HANA and BW4HANA environment(s) as an example.
• Facilitate collaborative architecture discussions with the customer, IT and leadership.
• Development of strategic roadmaps encompassing the evolution of enterprise business solution portfolios from current to future state.
• Guide customer teams in using Enterprise Architecture frameworks, establishing governance models and implementing business process modeling disciplines.
• Influence transition states toward joint business outcomes building on SAP solution value leveraging industry best practices.
• Be actively involved in the preparation, conceptualization, realization and Go Live of customer implementation projects.
• Perform feasibility studies and process design reviews.
• Act as a team lead / Business Processes Consultant and support respective manager(s) in people development tasks.
• Develop a detailed plan of process implementation.
• Define detailed blueprint for development requirements.
• Lead industry / corporate process implementation across all related applications (SAP / non-SAP).
• Assist in the development of the overall project plan (scoping process) as well as individual work plans; acting as liaison with client for troubleshooting (investigates, analyses, and solves software problems).
• Analyze and map clients’ business requirements, processes, and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy clients’ needs.
• Identify, extract, and share knowledge assets from S/4HANA projects with the team.
• Manage execution of system performance, patching, upgrades, enhancements, transport management, batch scheduling and capacity management
• Manage Instance synchronization activities such as system clone and refresh. Daily production system oversight and support working across infrastructure and application teams.
• Manage Early Watch and Go-Live checks, SAPGUI, Fiori, and SSO deployment.
• Proactively manage landscape instances and participate in governance to optimize and prioritize demand. Document and maintain landscape diagrams and component versions.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to team members and consultants.
• Manage overall SAP note implementations and drive technical SAP incidents to resolution.
• Develop and enforce SOP (Standard Operating Procedures / Process) and document them as the systems evolve.
• Drive utilization of Solution Manager in managing the technical landscape.
• Plan and manage secure communications, SSL, SNC, and partner with Security teams.
• SAP Technical environment may include Linux, Hana, Sybase ASE, ABAP and Java NetWeaver stacks, FIORI, ECC, GRC, TMS, PI, SCM, BI, BOBJ, EWM, MDG, Solution Manager, and Central Monitoring Tools as an example.

​ Qualifications:

• Functional/technical proficiency with at least 2+ full lifecycle SAP HANA implementations and 5+ years of SAP implementation & industry and/or consulting experience.
• Experience implementing SAP HANA Analytics, and SAP HANA Data Modeling is required.
• Experience establishing performance baselines; monitoring system performance and tuning for peak performance.
• Experience with leading data provisioning tools & strategies within the SAP HANA platform such as Smart Data Streaming, Smart Data Access, SLT, SAP Data Services, and DXC, as an example.
• Experience with database performance tuning (including optimizing HANA information models, ETL data flows).
• Experience with the SAP HANA SPS 12 and/or SAP HANA 2.0.
• Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team with SAP industry-leading applications and tools.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Deadline and detail-oriented

Educational & Work Qualifications:

• 4 Year degree in computer sciences, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• SAP Certification (nice to have)
