Position

Summary

The

SAP Enterprise Technology Manager is

responsible for all aspects of the SAP technology and landscape

supporting Brady’s global operations. This includes responsibility for overseeing

SAP infrastructure, security, integration and development, as well as change

management. Ultimately, this role is

accountable for the effective and efficient running of Brady’s SAP system and

will work directly with the IT team, business and strategic partners to ensure

system continuity, upgrades and solution deployment plans are consistent with

internal procedures and best practices.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the

following:
•

Ensure effective oversight and

leadership of primary SAP technical areas including Basis, integration and

Development, Security and system landscape management.

•

Work with key IT partners to manage

overall coordination of infrastructure, from planning through implementation.

For the technical areas, set priorities, deadlines and deliverable for

corresponding projects. Facilitate discussions and consensus among various

technical stakeholders such as key business users, project managers, and IT

leadership.

•

Plan and deliver technical solutions

for projects, covering all aspects of technical process and best practice

definition, documentation, governance, testing, deployment and stabilizing the

technical infrastructure.

•

Provide governance oversight and

guidance plus process optimization of all production changes. Ensure system

changes are designed, tested and executed exceptionally.

•

Actively seek opportunities to

optimize the use of technology in support of IT and business goals. Maintain a

high level of awareness of current and future information technologies and IT

best practices.

•

Establish and maintain relationships

with vendors regarding technology currently in use or of potential value to the

organization.

•

Provide cost optimization, rationale

and budget for ERP team’s infrastructure including third party basis services

and IBM I series support.

•

Accountable for technology budget

management.

•

Participate in the preparation and

management of department operating and capital budgets. Forecast and manage

expenditures within approved budget guidelines and prepare variance reports

when needed.

•

Effectively manage integration

points with other systems and infrastructure as needed.

Required Experience:
•

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related

field

•

Minimum of 3 years experience in a

comparable position

•

Minimum 7 years of IT leadership

positions

•

Minimum of 10 years of IT experience

in general

•

Management experience

•

Strong communication and

presentation skills

•

Strong ability to facilitate

discussions and negotiate mutually beneficial solutions when necessary

•

Participation in past SAP

implementations with project management or general management experience

•

Ability to articulate solution

design decisions to all levels of Business
