Sales Associate (Excellent salary + bonus!)

We are an established, global provider of high quality products for use in the Food and Pharmaceutical Industries. We offer a base salary up to $55k , opportunities for growth in other areas of our firm (not just sales) , plus bonus AND we pay 100% of the health premiums for all our FT employees (including family coverage)! Our attractive benefits include a very employee friendly 401K as well.

The successful candidate enjoys customer interaction, has a strong drive to learn new products and sales techniques and is willing to do what it takes to support the sales team to meet common goals and targets. 30% Travel is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand our complete product portfolio to best serve our customer’s needs.
  • Actively sell our products to existing customer base (process orders via email and phone)
  • Maintain consistent customer contact for on-going sales of all products.
  • Generate new leads.
  • Record all customer communications and information in a timely manner.
  • Represent our company at exhibitions and conferences.
  • Assist in follow-up of existing users to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Acquire and provide market information to management. Advise management in helping to formulate overall marketing plan for assigned region.
  • Analyze current and future sales potential in territory and develop a business plan to maximize the market potential.
  • Coordinate and plan travel to client sites. Submit travel reports and expenses in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Exemplary communication skills (written and oral).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or business related field (preferred) or High School diploma plus 2 years of direct sales experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including overnights and some weekends (Typically 1 full week each month visiting clients face to face, plus trade shows and/or local client visits).
