Job Description

As a Sales and Operations Demand Planner at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders to collect and represent a consolidated demand signal and supporting assumptions throughout Micron’s S&OP process. You will work closely with Micron’s Data Science team to generate the monthly statistical forecast, and you will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement in the S&OP demand planning processes and systems.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Active collaboration with Sales and BU stakeholders in regional demand reviews and Sales and Marketing forecast reconciliation forums that drive the final consensus demand forecast
• Validate and audit consensus demand signal
• Work with the Data Science team to generate, validate and publish the monthly statistical forecast
• Highlight and review key changes in the demand forecast and supporting assumptions
• Represent business unit strategies and customer support objectives to facilitate shaping the supply response

• Monitor metric performance against targets, conduct root cause analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with stakeholder to develop solutions to drive improvements in both process efficiency and effectiveness
• Develop and implement system and process control methods (audits, training, metrics, reference material, etc.)
• Conduct research to identify and implement best known methods
• Identify and implement lessons learned to prevent system or process issues (SWOT, post mortem, issues tracking)
