Research Assistant Intern (12 Openings)

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Miami Project to Cure Paralysis has an exciting opportunity for Research Assistant Interns. This internship program is an opportunity for outstanding students to work in spinal cord injury research laboratories under the mentorship of the University of Miami’s Miami Project research staff. Utilizing their knowledge and laboratory skills, students will take on specific functions and projects as part of a multidisciplinary team. These are full time internships scheduled to run over the summer from May 22 to July 28.

The minimum qualifications for this internship program are as follows: high school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated interest and motivation to learn more about life science and a desire to work in a laboratory environment.

Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza (“the flu”) season (September through April), the University of Miami School of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
