We are a growing leader in a rapidly-growing industry and we’re looking for a full-time Project Manager who will be instrumental in ensuring effective implementation of research projects.

Job Purpose

As a Project Manager working on User Experience Research Studies, you will be a critical member of the research team, focusing on the recruitment and fielding logistics. You will define new processes and protocols that will improve the overall management of projects across the research organization. You will wear countless hats in Project Management and Process Improvement. This position will give you exposure to many different business models and industries. The main activities for this position consist of planning and executing the details necessary for a flawless client experience.

Job Responsibilities

Research Project Management

Oversee project logistics from initiation to execution. Examples include addressing logistical questions from clients, managing and overseeing recruitment of research participants (including recruitment screener writing), and ensuring compliance with project timelines.

Coordinate internal project logistics, such as roles & responsibilities as well as internal meeting set up.

Utilize content and project management tools, such as Box, Google Docs, Salesforce, Slack, and Trello to coordinate documentation/communications across the project team.

Manage research-related technology and provide technical support as needed. Responsibilities may include setting up research testing computers with mirrored monitors, installing and managing settings for software or prototypes on computers or mobile devices, and programming online surveys with complex logic.

Ensure projects stay on schedule and budget by actively managing internal and external resources.

Oversee recruitment vendors, research labs, technology suppliers, and independent contractors to ensure on-time and quality deliverables.

Track overall program details for Clients (including “burn down” of retainers, specific project requirements, etc.); ensure continuity of execution across projects with a specific client to ensure adherence to special requirements (specialized NDAs, protocols, or other processes unique to the client).

Ensure compliance with specific legal requirements on projects for clients in heavily regulated industries such as financial and pharmaceutical.

Own processes and upon project completion, recommend changes in processes, vendor selection or scope for future projects.

Identify best practices and create documentation/policies around them.

Oversee recruitment best practices, act as resource to Sales team about recruit feasibility/capabilities/timelines

Oversee screener best practices, including development/maintenance of screener questions database for recruit criteria

Collaborate with Research and Operations teams to improve processes across AnswerLab.

Client Account Services

Partner with AnswerLab’s Strategy team to help win projects through scope logistics, recruit details, and creation of research approach materials

Gather quotes from vendors to find the best fit for projects

Support account teams through schedules and maintenance of account specifications/documentation

Collaborate with resourcing team to staff AnswerLab Projects

Key Relationship

Reports to Senior Project Manager, Team Lead

Works closely with Clients, UX Strategists, Business Development, Research Managers, Research Directors, Researchers, Resource Manager, and Accounting

This job has no supervisory responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

2-5 years of experience in project management preferably in client-facing environments

2+ years of experience in market research, social science research, or consumer research

Demonstrated understanding of project lifecycles

Superior organizational skills, unflagging attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information

Highly service-oriented and responsive

Superior time, resource and project management skills

Ability to independently manage priorities and resources in a high volume, client-driven environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment

Quick learner and ability to multitask with minimal supervision

Finds satisfaction in figuring out puzzles, problem solving, and finding ways to optimize tasks

Bachelor’s degree

Physical Requirements

Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.

Sitting for extended periods of time.

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
