The Situation:

As a Software Engineer II, you will be joining a team of high-functioning, very ambitious professionals (engineers, QA, UX, product owner) in the pursuit of state-of-the-art cloud platform. This is a green field project to build out a service oriented solution.

You will be collaborating with the team to:

ensure the we are building services at the appropriate level of granularity

augment platform development efforts (i.e. help build out the platform services)deliver scalable, multi-tiered, distributed software applications

Your efforts will:

focus on good design

emphasize defect prevention

change development and system standards

Expectations:

Collaborate with other team members regarding best practices for development patterns and disciplines

Collaborate with the Product Owner and senior members of the team to gain an understanding of new product features

Ability to break down user stories into development tasks

A desire and ability to work within both the client and server side of web applications

Skills/Experience

The “must haves”

2+ years of professional experience developing client-side JavaScript applications

Experience with JavaScript frameworks (experience with frameworks like Backbone, Angular, or React)Proficient with web markup technologies such as HTML and CSS

Strong understanding of jQuery features and functions

Knowledge of single page application concepts such as AJAX, Rest APIs, and Promises

Experience building unit and integration tests

Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues

Interest and adaptability to working in an Agile environment.Some significant combination of the following will go a long way

Experience working in an Amazon Web Services environment

Working knowledge of Docker tools and integrations

Experience with RequireJS, Marionette, Grunt, Less, Handlebars, and Swagger

Understanding of software in a multi-tenant SaaS environment

Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture

Comfortable working with Git
