Regional Irrigation Technician- Northwest

<span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Lindsay Corporation is hiring a new Regional Irrigation Product Support and Training Technician. This role will primarily provide dealer technician training and infield support throughout the year for our Zimmatic and FieldNET product lines. In addition, this position will trouble shoot system performance challenges and work closely with our Product Support and Training, Quality, Product Development and Engineering teams to effectively and efficiently identify root causes and collaboratively drive resolutions quickly and efficiently. This position reports to the Director of Irrigation Product Support and Training.

<span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">This is a full-time position will be based in our Northwest and requires day and overnight travel to dealerships in the assigned Region. In addition, occasional travel to our Omaha Headquarters location and other regions will be required. A company service truck will be provided. <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Duties & Responsibilities

  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Always represent the company’s best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Provide product support, system troubleshooting and training in person, on the phone and via email to our dealer network and internal teams
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Proficiently and safely use power and manually operated tools and equipment to perform and train irrigation installation, trouble shooting and maintenance.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Keep accurate records, promote job worksite safety, provide excellent customer and exhibit pride and quality workmanship.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Develop comprehensive technical irrigation product line support, documentation for proper and safe practices and corresponding training
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Develop, administer and deliver training content. Primary focus is assigned Region with some North America Irrigation support.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Understand the product fully to offer insights into new product development, product validation for performance and proper instructions for dealer technicians.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Regularly access, charge and follow up on the training schedule and progress at each assigned dealership.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Recreate field issues, offer guidance to application and system best practices and assist dealers in growing their businesses through technician competency.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Maintain and care for company equipment, tools and vehicles.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Attend training classes and seminars as requested.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Preferred Qualifications

  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Ability to aspire to and demonstrate Lindsay’s Vision, Values and Behaviors daily.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">4-year degree in Mechanized systems Management, Ag, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Professional Electrician Certification (Masters or Journeyman) or combination of relevant experience and education will be considered.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Knowledge of electrical systems and willingness to learn the National Electrical code.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Bilingual in English/Spanish with ability to read, write and speak both languages proficiently is highly preferred.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Self-motivated, possess strong leadership skills, and be professional in appearance and actions.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Detail oriented, possess critical thinking skills and is quality results driven.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Well organized with strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to multi-task.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Robust problem-solving skills, the ability to learn from doing, personal accountability, and a positive and professional attitude.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Strong customer service background.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Ability to work independently and as part of a team-oriented environment where you will successfully manage multiple dealer
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">cases simultaneously.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Must take ownership of work and own the responsibilities of making sure things are done accurately and customer expectations
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">are met.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif"> Ability to work under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities and without supervision.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Savvy with Microsoft office and web-based applications.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Willingness to travel across the United States for training and troubleshooting. Open to the possibility to travel internationally.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif"> Ability to work overtime and possibly weekends should the workload warrant.
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Must have a valid driver’s license and willing to travel with company supplied vehicle
