The Recruiter will support the human resources team by providing assistance to the Human Resources Director and other management personnel with all hiring and on-boarding practices. This individual will aid in identifying, attracting and retaining quality candidates.

Required Experience:

1 to 2 year’s experience in sourcing, prescreening and interviewing candidates for employment at a healthcare establishment; preferably at a hospital/ambulatory care center. A high skill level in customer service and teamwork, computer literacy in MicroSoft suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel). Has a working knowledge of recruiting technology (i.e., applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn and other Job Boards), and the ability to build exceptional relationships with both internal and external candidates, as well as with Hiring Managers. The qualified individual must have coordinated the onboarding of new hires, including facilitating new hire orientation.

Desirable Experience:

Experience sourcing and recruiting for “hard to fill” and key hospital positions.

Working knowledge of Meditech system

Required Education:

Bachelors in Human Resources or related field of study

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and process job requisitions
  • Meet with Hiring Managers to determine the best recruiting strategy for finding an exceptional candidate for their unit/department
  • Write position descriptions and post on job boards
  • Screens high volumes of resumes through multiple application websites, email, and networking sites
  • Build our talent pipeline with qualified candidates
  • Works with Hiring Managers to schedule interviews
  • Coordinate the procress for ensuring candidates complete pre-employment and post job offer requirements such as employment verifications, health assessment, drug screening, educational and criminal background checks.
  • Ensures compliance with federal/state/local regulatory standards governing pre-employment and post offer practices
  • Represent the hospital at recruitment affairs
  • Coordinates appropriate employment testing
  • Extend job offers both verbally and in writing
  • Complete weekly “open/filled position” and other recruitment reports (i.e., vacancy, time to fill, retention and turnover)
  • Perform annual licensure and/or certifications verifications.
  • Work with Employee Health on annual physical compliance and updates as needed according to the established schedule.
  • Enter new hires into the HRIS system
  • Cross train in other areas of the Human Resources Department
  • Any other duties as assigned.
