This position reports to our Quality Manager and requires technical degree or equivalent with 5 – 10 years progressive quality experience. The successful candidate must have knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience with quality improvement tools. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be organized and detail oriented.

Internal responsibilities:

• Conduct and document internal audits.
• Administer document control.
• Administer Corrective Action program.
• Participate in engineering change order activities, material review boards and change control.
• Champion the quality management system and promote our quality culture.
• Encourage an innovative working environment and effective teamwork.
• Provide leadership through clear expectations and high standards.
• Identify technical problems and implement corrective actions.
• Implement problem solving and root cause analyses.
• Other duties as assigned.

External responsibilities:

• Analyze and verify supplier quality systems.
• Ensure suppliers comply with quality standards.
• Serve as a liaison between suppliers.
• Perform regular supplier audits to ensure compliance and improve processes.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections.
• Initiate and track supplier corrective action requests (SCARS).
• Support supplier performance improvement projects to increase the supplier capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.

Understanding of ISO 9001.

Ability to communicate with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

Demonstrated passion for solving problems.

Strong writing, organizational and communication skills.

High level of proficiency with technology; including Microsoft Office (Excel), ERP/MRP systems.

Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting, pushing or carrying heavy objects, sitting for long periods of time and auto travel.
