Quality Engineer

Compensation: $72,000 – $80,000

Outstanding plastic injection molding company seeking a Quality Engineer to assist their growing QA Department. The ideal candidate will have ISO 13485 experience. Join this growing, stable employer that offer excellent pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise Quality support staff, including Document Control and Quality Specialist, in proper protocols and QMS controls and functions.
• Initiate and maintain QMS documents and procedures
• Support and participate with Quality Manager in Customer and Regulatory audits
• Develop and/or adapt systems to meet quality standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and to streamline processes and to maintain product quality
• Responsible for performing internal audits based on internal audit schedule.
• Investigate and determine root cause of quality issues; assist production and other personnel with Corrective Action process
• Monitor ECO, CAPA and MRB time to close metrics; identify actions and responsibilities to drive timely closure and effectiveness.
• Develop good documentation best practices; develop a training plan; monitor effectiveness; coach others as needed.
• Support the implementation of paperless manufacturing initiatives.
• Understand and effectively implement risk-based methodologies and processes.
• Stay abreast of and communicate changes to regulatory requirements; develop effective plans to implement actions to address them.
