Quality Engineer

COMPANY

Our client has been a market leader for more than 60 years with operations in the US since the early 1980s. They have a global reach with operations around the world and a well-established customer base.

POSITION

Quality system monitoring to prevent defects and satisfy customer quality needs.

Serve as the coordinator for corrective/preventative action and improvement activities.

Report status of product, process quality, and procedures to management team.

Supervise quality inspectors in various quality activities.

Maintain and develop controls to ensure adherence to QA procedures and policies.

Administer QA and inspection training programs for Quality and Production operations.

Manage defined corrective actions at floor level to ensure they meet defined requirements.

Coordinate inspection/certification of customer rejected material to determine true root cause and recommendations for corrective actions.

Reports to the Quality Manager

Location: Dallas, TX

DESIRED BACKGROUND

5+ years of experience in a Quality role in the automotive manufacturing industry

Bachelors degree in Engineering

Experience with successful examples of using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve quality

IATF 16949 lead auditor certification or pursuant (Core Tools specialist)

COMPENSATION

Salary $85k
