Quality Assurance Manager

Mid-size company located 70 miles Northwest of Austin, Texas .

A niche company producing fresh and smoked natural meat products (pork, turkey, chicken, beef sausage and hams) for distribution to major retail firms.

Great location, small family town…..low taxes, no crime, good schools.

Experience: 5+ years in further processed meats.

MUST be proficient in difficult audits for SQF, BRC, Organic etc.

HACCP Plan Development and Implementation required.

Assist in administration of quality, food safety, safety, and SQF programs including maintaining full document registry in an on-line information portal.

Lead all food safety, quality audits and SQF Audits.

Administer and maintain Certifications including Organic, GAP and Certified Humane.

Administer the Quality Assurance Module in the company ERP System.

Provide technical assistance in FSIS and FDA labeling application and regulatory compliance.

Responsible for administering Product Trace-ability, Product Recall and Product Hold program and assigning final disposition(s) to hold product.

A person that could make a good Technical Director over R&D, Customer Functions and could manage continuous improvement functions and process control.

R&D Experience and being able to complete QA audits are BIG pluses

PREVIOUS food industry experience REQUIRED.

Location: Texas ( NOT ) Waco

Salary: Up to $80,000
