Quality Assurance Engineer/Product Owner

Role Summary:

This role will be located in Atlanta, GA. You will be integral in executing and maintaining quality standards across our SaaS product platform as well as acting in a product owner role. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 or more years of experience working in a Quality Assurance Engineer capacity in an Agile Team.

As a QA Engineer/Product Owner you will be responsible for ensuring our SaaS products meet quality and functionality standards, including reliability, usability and performance. You will simultaneously view this through the lens of a product owner. Responsibilities include estimating, planning, and coordinating testing activities. You will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system. This position will work with our product management, development, and client delivery teams in an environment which is dynamic and fun to work in.

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Major (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 3 years OR Master’s degree with minimum 1 year industry experience
  • works independently and collaboratively as part of multiple teams across many time zones
  • excellent communication skills
  • Scrum product owner training or practical experience
  • creates feature epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • functionality requirements (core product and customizations) creation and technical design reviews
  • proven test execution and methodology
  • writes effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored
  • proficient in SDLC and Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
  • ability to estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities
  • knowledge of usability and basic security best practices
  • collaborates with Product Management on continuous product improvements
  • provides input to Project backlog priority for Sprint planning
  • basic data visualization analytics testing experience
  • knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON
  • adept with JIRA and Confluence
  • solid understanding of networking, routing, client/server communications
  • knowledge of Cloud technologies, Android Apps, and Linux operating systems
  • ability to be a cross-functional contributor, multitask, and stay organized in an agile lean environment

Experience in these areas is a plus:

  • experience with SQL and scripting including python, javascript, and linux bash
  • design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • strong problem solving skills
  • Retail and/or Digital Out of Home (DOOH) industry knowledge
  • experience with performance and security testing
  • Chinese language skills

Hours:

This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position. The position will be based in our offices in Atlanta, Georgia, with occasional travel to Cincinnati, Ohio.

Compensation depends on experience.
