PV Project Engineer

been awarded nearly $3M in grants from the Department of Energy as part of its SunShot program.

Job Summary
Full-time project designer and administrator. Day-to-day tasks include creating preliminary PV system designs
for potential clients, preliminary electrical design of PV module and inverters, predictive modeling of energy
generation, system documentation and in-field testing, permitting and financial grant applications, and other
varied tasks.

Core Skills

• Capable of managing multiple PV projects simultaneously, with fluid deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sometimes with PV vendors and potential clients

• Ability and confidence to work independently

• Strong computer skills, especially in quickly learning relevant software

• Self-motivated and hard working

Beneficial Skills

• Experience in the solar energy industry

• Familiarity with solar PV and construction terminology

• Familiarity with Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) contracting and the Power Purchase

Agreement (PPA) structure

• Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD 2D drawing software

• Ability to learn new software and online tools to aid project development and design

• Knowledge of electrical conventions and sizing (wire sizing, calculating current, voltage, other PV-relevant

variables)

Job Description
Norwich Technologies is seeking PV Project Engineer to work with our sales and engineering team to ensure
organizational effectiveness and efficiency. As a start-up company, a broad range of activites and skills will be
required. Particular near-term tasks include project permitting, preliminary project design, electrical design,
scheduling, and engineering and financial documentation reporting for our Solar and grant projects.
