PUBLIC HEALTH SUPERVISOR II (SR-26) – OAHU

Recruitment Number 217120 – Downtown, Oahu Employment Only. $5,152 to $6,027 per month (SR-26, Step C – G).

DUTIES SUMMARY

Supervise, plan, direct and coordinate the provision of a variety of public health services to certain target group(s) in an assigned geographical area; participate in the development and implementation of the policies, procedures, and standards that govern the program’s compliance with State and Federal laws, rules and regulations; establish and implement operating policies and procedures pertaining to the work unit’s various activities; monitor and evaluate services provided by the work unit to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, adherence to standards, and compliance with laws; and perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

An applicant must meet all the requirements for the position at the date of application.

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university.

Specialized Experience: Three and one-half (3-1/2) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in public health, or other related field, which required demonstrated knowledge of public health laws, rules and regulations; community health organizations and the services they provide; public health needs of the community; and current public health problems.

Supervisory Experience: One (1) year of supervisory work experience which included: 1) planning, organizing, scheduling and directing the work of others; 2) assigning and reviewing their work; 3) advising them on difficult work problems; 4) training and developing subordinates; and 5) evaluating their work performance.
