Project Manager, Security and Resilience

Our Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team protects, sustains and enables Google’s ability to thrive. As a Project Manager on the Special Projects Team, you’ll collaborate with internal and external partners and stakeholders to evaluate, plan, manage and deliver projects and new initiatives in service of improving Google’s ability to anticipate, detect, deter and respond effectively to all kinds of incidents that could cause disruption. Initiatives will span multiple GSRS annual objectives, teams and time zones. You will keep all the players and pieces coordinated with each other and with milestones, communicating updates and outcomes to stakeholders of all levels along the way.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work — from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.

Responsibilities

Lead new projects and initiatives supporting resilience within Google and Alphabet, working collaboratively and representing GSRS.

Capture, define and track requirements and issues to develop solution strategies in support of the GSRS mission.

Ensure success measurements and feedback processes for all initiatives.

Manage initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, leveraging written and verbal skills to communicate consistently with the project team and gain stakeholder input and acceptance.

Partner with other GSRS teams to share knowledge and leverage assets efficiently and effectively and ensure compliance with regulations internal and external to Google.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of program/project management experience.

Experience leading successful, measurable initiatives from design to execution.

Ability upto travel 25%.

Preferred qualifications:
BS or MS in engineering, economics, mathematics, finance, statistics or similar quantitative field.

Project management experience in a consulting firm or within the tech industry.

Demonstrated presentation skills and experience using shared project management tools.

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
