Project Manager | Scrum Master

Right now, we are seeking a Project Manager | Scrum Master based at Western Union’s Digital Headquarters in San Francisco, California.

In this role, you will manage a project or small set of projects during all phases of the project cycle with responsibilities that include project design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting. You will Scrum Master for 1-2 teams.

  • Develop, track and manage project milestones, project plans, timelines and scope
  • Facilitate identification of timelines, dashboards, success metrics, and financial scorecards for each initiative
  • Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
  • Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
  • Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog
  • Guide the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks and adhere to principle of continuous improvement
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s or more Advanced degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in project management preferred
  • 2+ years of experience as a SCRUM Master preferred
  • Agile, PMP, and CSM certifications preferred
  • Strong familiarity in working in an Agile environment and experience leading multiple Scrum Teams
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment
