3M is seeking a Project Manager for the Health Care Business Group (HCBG) located in Maplewood, MN.
Job Summary :
The candidate hired for the position of Project Manager will be responsible for leading the 2018 Unique Device Identification (UDI) compliance project. The candidate would be responsible for day to day management of the project plan and deliverables. This position would also integrate new UDI requirements, through management of change, as the global regulatory footprint expands.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Overall UDI project management to meet compliance dates in 2018 and beyond
Manage UDI Division Leads to ensure progress and appropriate allocation of shared resources
Coach new 2018 sites through the project and CapEx planning process
Manage UDI Site Leads at plants to ensure progress and coordinate activities at shared sites
Project communication and analytics
Manage OEM delivery of UDI compliant labels and coordinate activities at shared outsource suppliers
Coordinate support for legacy labeling software
Coordinate UDI activities to align with ERP deployment and minimize impact to sites and Divisions
Manages GUDID data collection and cleanse team
Receives regulatory interpretation and translates into actionable projects
Integrates global UDI requirements into project plan as they are finalized
Complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
Minimum of four (4) years of project management experience
Any combination of experience in Regulatory Affairs (RA), IT, Product Labeling, Supply Chain, and/or Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Minimum of one (1) or more years of experience with UDI
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Works well in ambiguity, ability to define path for self and others
Ability to work in a large, highly matrixed organization
Strong organization skills, ability to prioritize for self and others
Independent and self-motivated
Flexible attitude and ability to work in a rapidly changing regulatory environment
Customer service oriented and desire for continuous improvement
