Project Manager

LOCATION:

This position can be located in Missoula, MT or Helena, MT.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager will plan and lead small to medium size projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Coordination of team members and third-party contractors is required in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will
adhere to the methodologies and best practices as set forth by the company’s Project Management Office through all phases of project initiation, planning, execution, and closure. For System Selection Projects, the project manager will elicit requirements and
lead the system evaluation process to ensure appropriate systems are selected.

Requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define project scope, objectives, requirements, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Apply a rigorous project management discipline throughout all aspects of each project.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Gather system requirements and coordinate system evaluation and selection.
  • Execute project plans and coordinate project team activities to complete the project according to scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Effectively negotiate with project stakeholders and team members to drive project delivery to a successful completion.
  • Conduct project post implementation reviews.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses
    and achieve a passing score by due date.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a project manager or applicable experience is required.
  • PMP certification desired.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Prior banking experience preferred.

  • Skilled in the development of project plans, work breakdown structures, and project schedules.
  • Strong project risk management skills.
  • Excellent customer skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL Best Practices and ITIL Change Management desired.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be
able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly
to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection
involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be capable of occasional travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
