Front-end Developer

SimBio (www.simbio.com) is a small progressive software company that produces innovative teaching tools used in undergraduate biology courses world-wide. We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious front-end developer to join our SimUText (http://simbio.com/products-college/simutext-overview) development team to collaboratively design and implement responsive, data-driven user interfaces.

The position is located in SimBio’s Missoula, MT office, which also harbors a motley crew of content and instructional design specialists, graphic designers, customer relations specialists, and a variety of other technical personnel.

Background, Skills, and Qualifications:

• Experience using modern web technologies (including Bootstrap or equivalent, SOAP/REST, JSON/XML) to design and develop front-ends for responsive, user-centered web applications
• Proficiency with AngularJS or equivalent MVC JavaScript framework
• Familiarity with source control products (e.g., SVN) and project management tools (e.g., Redmine and JIRA)
• Working knowledge of C++ (or similar compiled languages such as Java/C#/Objective-C) would be helpful, and experience with the Qt framework would be especially desirable as this position may also involve some application development
• BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
