Project Manager

At 605 we are engineers, analysts, data scientists, media experts, marketing strategists and political operatives. Our team of data scientists pioneered the field of TV data analytics. We offer unique, independent audience measurement and analytics to build better marketing and programming initiatives within the media and entertainment industries.

Project Managers within the Engineering department will be responsible for ensuring the day to day coordination of projects involving Engineering and any parties external to the Engineering department. You will report to the Senior Project Manager who in turn reports into the Group Vice President of Technology. In this role you will be responsible for:

Working with the Senior Project Manager to build project processes throughout 605

Tracking status, dependencies, roadblocks and risks of current engineering development projects

Managing tasks, stories, epics, projects and sprints within JIRA

Gathering and documenting requirements from internal stakeholders/product team

Ensuring status is efficiently communicated between external parties and parties within 605

Communicating status in a timely manner between engineering and other groups within 605

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as a project manager with at least 2 years in an Agile environment

At least 1-2 years experience managing a software development project

Solutions oriented thinking

Experience with Critical Path Analysis

Strong organization and communication skills

Curiosity, interest in learning and strong problem solving skills

Strong understanding of fundamentals of IT (ex. What a primary key in a table is/why it’s important, etc)

Preferred Skills

4-6 years experience as a project manager with 3-4 years in an Agile environment

3+ years managing a software development project

Knowledge/ability to write limited SQL code

Comfortable working with both in house and external developers/technology

Knowledge of AWS product offerings

Certified ScrumMaster

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Experience in the US television history

Experience in the advertising industry
