Project Manager

VizExplorer delivers state-of-the-art advanced data visualization software that turns large volumes of data into easy to understand and easy-to-use Super Graphics. VizExplorer software provides huge value to strategic, operational and tactical users of data. We make visualizing big data easy!

We have a current opening for an experienced project manager to work with our customers and with our technical team’s in New Zealand and San Diego.

DUTIES:

• Manage VizExplorer software implementations, including; requirements gathering, developing scope, scheduling, prioritizing and managing risk.
• Define goals, tasks and resources needed to complete the project.
• Create a schedule and timeline for the project.
• Manage and track all activities to ensure all deliverables will be completed on time.
• As a project manager you are expected to lead and support the project team all the way to completion and even after.
• Monitor and report on the project status to keep the client and anyone who holds a stake in the completion of the project informed.
• Define any problems that may occur, and identify solutions.
• Manage any changes that are added to minimize the impact on the overall project.
• Review the management process after the project is over. Identify any steps in the process that can be improved upon for the next project.
• Develop internal relationships with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services.
• 30% Travel required
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Excellent project management skills required
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously required
• Ideally previous experience working for a Gaming, BI or CRM vendor
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
• Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
• Direct work experience in project management capacity
• Proficient in project management software
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Highly organized and motivated
• Ability to lead internal and external project teams in order to meet analysis objectives
• BS degree in MIS or Business Management, MBA with MIS or Management concentration preferred but not required
• PMP Certification preferred
• Management consulting / IT consulting experience
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools, Business Objects preferred
• Industry experience in:
• Casino Gaming
• Communication Media Entertainment Hospitality
• Technology
