TITLE: Project Manager DEPARTMENT: Engineering LOCATION: Kansas City, KS or Parsons, KS REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager – Project Management Group POSITION DESCRIPTION Ensures Magnum Systems’ projects activities run smoothly by managing each accepted order from sales kickoff through installation. This position requires a high demonstration of expertize in clear communication, order entry, layout/design concepts, time management, engineering, and organizational skills. This position will work closely with field sales, inside sales, finance, production, vendors, and customers. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, follow proper procedures, and promote open communication in line with Magnum Systems’ strategic initiatives. Coordinates and reports on work of others. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Must be willing to travel as needed. Reports to the Engineering Manager – Project Management Group. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate kickoff meeting with sales person and any “needed” personnel before acceptance of Customer Purchase Order and/or Order Entry.
• When sales has successfully acquired and communicated all information satisfactory of order acceptance, Project Manager is responsible for entering order and then communicating all timelines with customer, drafting/design, finance, vendors and operations.
• Manage and report on status of projects, communication with customer, identified obstacles and vendor lead times in a timely manner to Engineering Manager – Project Management Group.
• Coordinate timelines, pro-active identification of deadline issues, and deliverables to production based on established delivery and start-up.
• Maintains quality control and consistency of layouts, vendor choices, and customer expectations.  Identifies inefficiencies in the process and consults on time management issues.  Will work with vendors to fulfill buy-out items for individual projects in accordance to best of breed vendors.  Will balance multiple projects as directed by Engineering Manager – Project Management Group.

• Interpersonal skills. Must work closely with other departments, employees, customers, and vendors. Listening and providing an environment for open communication from all levels is critical.
• Detail Oriented. Understands that everything that leaves our facility is a representation of the employees, company, and reputation. Drawings, written, verbal, etc. Must have concept of “the big picture” when it comes to internal changes of policy or procedure.
• Experience with 3D Inventor a plus.  Deadline oriented for deliverables and overall timeline coordination.  Continuous education driven. Looking to improve every day and leading by example.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE

Minimum of BA/BS in engineering or related discipline. Minimum of 4 years progressive experience in project management in packaging and/or processing manufacturing environment or equivalent.
