SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Project Manager for the I & CS: Security Ops & IR department. The Project Manager is responsible for leading teams on small to medium projects or significant segments of complex projects, translating client/customer requirements into formal agreements and plans, concluding in the customer’s acceptance of the project deliverable while complying all Company and Division policies and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops the project plan and manages the cost, scope, schedule and quality for the project.
  • Organizes and leads cross functional team in developing and implementing project deliverables; also provides task direction to project staff and interacts with Vendors in release management.
  • Understand the business and produce IT solutions and suggest process improvements.
  • Works with support organizations and client personnel to ensure their involvement in tasks required to deliver the project (e.g. requirements gathering, technical support, Organizational Readiness, etc.)
  • Conducts project reviews at checkpoints throughout the SDLC, escalates to executive levels as required, maintains project business case, prepares and presents readiness assessments and go/no go checklist to executive management.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

  • BS degree required.
  • PMI Certification Preferred.
  • Seasoned Technical Project Manager with 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience managing IT projects with Information Security Background.
  • Ideal candidate will have an Application/Software Development background as a programmer.
  • Consistent success in managing and implementing IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Entertainment industry experience is desirable.
  • Has working knowledge of PMI process groups : Initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing.
  • Has a technical background and a solid understanding of computer systems.
  • Strong understanding of Accounting principles.
  • Proven ability to communicate with upper management including VP level executives.
  • Understands Application Services resources, provider resources, priorities and policies and application this understanding to project activities.
  • Understanding of and prior success with utilizing and managing outsource service provider resources on large scale projects.
  • Has professional working knowledge in business matters, including finance, planning, forecasting and personnel in order to manage team task and business issues.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate resource needs and project issues with Application Services management to ensure appropriate resources are available and applied to project.
  • Anticipates potential project related problems and is capable of rendering sound solutions.

  • Knowledge of the business processes that the project is addressing.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in person and on the telephone.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.
  • Must be able to work well under time constraints.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.
  • Must be service-oriented.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible overtime, when necessary.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
