Employee Relations Associate

Strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to issue spot and analysis employment-related issues Strong interpersonal skills, able handle low level investigations in partnership with the ER team and HRBPs Respond to employee complaints to state and federal administrative agencies. Facilitate the interactive process pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADAAA) and other relevant local laws Partner with managers, employees and HR business partners to determine and implement reasonable accommodations where appropriate. Understanding of leave of absence and ADA accommodation laws Support reduction in workforce efforts by partnering with HR Business Partners and Legal to work through the established processes and assist with compiling documentation and summaries for senior management review. Support the performance management process by providing general consultation in partnership with ER team, preparation of written warnings, performance improvement plans, coaching, key messaging and other related documents. Facilitate in-person in-house compliance, and other ER-related trainings Ability to analyze and synthesize key insights gleaned from ER data and analytics and to create charts and reports Strong knowledge of SAP and basic HR SAP actions. Assist with project work as needed, including training and research. 3+ years HR, or ER experience or related field Demonstrated consultative and investigation skills Strong decision making, problem solving, and root cause/analysis skills Demonstrated consultative and credibility assessment skills Ability to assess sensitive and complex employee relations issues in a confidential, objective, and systematic manner Ability to work collaboratively, lead and influence at all levels within the organization, and make decisions while keeping all partners and leaders informed Strong understanding of all aspects of employment and human resources related laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts and practices, including Title VII, ADA, ADAA and FMLA Ability to manage multiple projects with strong time management and prioritization skills Strong communication and presentation skills, including verbal and written Excellent writing, grammar, and punctuation skills Bachelor’s degree Juris Doctorate

Reporting to the Director of the Direct-to-Consumer and International (“DTCI”) Employee Relations (“ER”) team in Burbank, this role is responsible for handling ER-related issues, and the management of the employee relations database, which includes tracking and analysis of ER cases and accommodations, and facilitating compliance and other ER-related trainings, as necessary. This ER Associate will conduct low-level ER investigations and create and deliver findings and recommendations, engage with employee regarding medical or religious accommodations, and will work with business leaders and employees to implement performance management.
