JOB DESCRIPTION

Title of Position: Project Engineer

Reports to: Vice President & COO

FLSA Classification: Non- exempt

Nature & Scope

Support Sales, Project Management and Manufacturing with Project Design

Specific Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Work in conjunction with internal and external customers on-site, including but not limited to Project Managers, Sales and Marketing Groups, dealers, customers, and architects; on the application of the Graham Product lines into project specific conditions, including but not limited to Standard and Custom Window Wall.
  • Supply technical assistance to internal, and external customers in the form of Auto-Cad drawings, primarily in 2d format, and as required in 3d solid format
  • Assemble and supply proposal drawings; utilizing standard, and custom window wall designs in auto cad format
  • Coordinate project specific shop drawings, anchorage calculations, sealant notes, and installation methods for project specific drawings; upon request; review for accuracy; shop drawings, general notes,
  • Perform special projects and other duties as required and assigned
  • Working with the Plant Manager provide engineering expertise within manufacturing and as required review and approve product design, fabrication and product assembly throughout production.
  • Provides engineering and technical support for architects, customers, sales and estimating in the areas of product application and specification interpretation.
  • Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Develops and recommends procedures and practices.

Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.

Experience

Ten (10) to twelve (12) years experience in related industry.

  • Thorough understanding of curtain wall systems and custom unitized products.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and a functional level.
  • Technical skills in engineering management, quality assurance, and costing.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2004 and higher.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High performance teams and a strong team player.
  • Advanced computer proficiency.
