Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Position: Project Engineer II
Our Outdoor Products Operations is seeking a Project Engineer II to add to our team. The Project Engineer II is responsible for but not limited to developing new products and processes. Document acquired product and production processes to assess feasibility of outsourced product for successful production startup in-house, expanding on state-of-the-art manufacturing technology initiatives. This position will require traveling as needed. Primary geographical location to be based out of may be negotiable.
This position is a direct supporter/contributor to the success of the Outdoor Products group and any/all delegated work is expected to positively promote those brands.
Responsibilities: Including but not limited to
Contributes to and directs several large projects or an important project of major scope.
Prepares detailed project schedules.
Directs the development of new technologies.
Establishes customer performance specifications.
Establishes working relations with outside vendors and customers.
Directs presentation of project results to management via design review or other method.
Identify cost saving opportunities.
Responsible to schedule goals and meet them within time and cost constraints.
Plans and organizes difficult projects, determines objectives, recommends and conducts large and complex research and development projects.
Researches current technical data gathered from books, reports, and monthly magazines to keep abreast of new technology.
Observes all applicable safety rules and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to supervisor.
Performs related duties as the need is apparent or as assigned.
Lead process safety management reviews on new hazardous processes.
Work with firearms and components
Ability to work projects at multiple locations concurrently
Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering field with 6+ years of experience
Excellent communication skills
Skilled coalition builder
Hands on problem solving skills
Ability to work with firearms and firearm components
Experience working interdepartmentally
Highly self-motivated with drive for results
Ability to balance multiple projects concurrently
