Programmer Analyst – I Series

A manufacturer of steel storage rack systems has an immediate opening for an experience programmer/analyst well-versed on the I.B.M. I/Series platform. We are looking for a highly motivated person who strives to continually learn and is comfortable supporting multiple I.T. projects simultaneously.

Major Areas of Accountability:

• Collaborate with end-users and management to gain an understanding of needed changes to existing programs and develop the required programming change specifications.
• Design, code, test, troubleshoot and document new or changed programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database and programming technology.
• End-user support for existing applications
• I/Series operational support
• Others IT duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two or four year degree in related field
• Proven track record supporting business applications on the IBM I/series platform
• Programming experience in RPG IV, RPG ILE and CLP
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Value-added Skills (Not required):

• Experience in INFOR XA software highly desirable
• SQL programming experience on the I/Series
• Experience in managing and implementing I.T. business projects
• Familiarity with networking concepts and administration
