Production Supervisor – FLL (First Line Leader) (1st Shift)

– 3 years of experience and/or Knowledge of pharmaceutical processes, systems, equipment and applicable government regulations

– Associate’s Degree

Preferred qualifications:

– Strong communication skills (written/verbal), conflict resolution, teamwork and leadership skills

Details:

Supervises production shift operations to deliver high quality products, manufactured in a safe way to fulfill the needs of the supply chain. Manages shift personnel (ie. staff capability plan), operation, and activities related to production. Ensures the day to day continuous improvements result in driving towards Zero Accidents, Zero Defects and Zero Waste.

Key Responsibilities:

– Ensure cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) are in place and in use.

– Ensure Safety standards are in place and in use.

– Manages shift operation responsible for manufacturing and/or packaging products in a manner which aligns to cGMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety Standards.

– Recruit and supervise staff to effectively lead and motivate towards delivering department goals

– Provide leadership in the development of staff PDPs including a capability plan with training targets, aligned to achieving departmental goals

– Utilize the performance management and accountability meetings to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.

– Create Supply, Safety and Quality Council monthly updates, summarizing area issues and successes

– Teach and coach the team on all aspects of operations to ensure safety and quality standards are in place and in use.

– Lead the team to deliver daily improvements (relating to safety, quality, line performance, customer service & cost)

– Utilize and continuously improve the GSK Production System standards (i.e. 5s, standard work, problem solving, gemba, process confirmations, and performance management) towards the goal of Zero accidents, Zero defects, and Zero waste.

– Ensure escalated problems occurring in the area that affects Product Quality, Safety, and other aspects of performance are resolved in a timely manner.

– Ensure Level 1 quality and safety audits are conducted and corrective actions implemented.

– Represents the value stream during regulatory audits (internal and external)
