General Summary of Position Responsibility:
Analyzes, develops and maintains the Lawson database, interfaces, applications and systems as needed to meet the information needs of the Lawson Procurement modules. Supports the Lawson Financial module as it interacts with the Procurement and Supply Chain functionality. Oversees the day to day procurement activity and business processes within the Lawson Procurement application. Performs other tasks associated with maintaining and reporting supply chain information and other financial data as deemed appropriate.

Essential Job Functions:
Area Specific Job Accountabilities:
Manages the procurement information management needs of the Supply Chain , including Lawson application assistance, direct interfaces to other external financial databases, and assistance with special projects as directed.

Manages the electronic requisition system in Lawson, including assistance to customers with training and problem resolution. Manages existing Processflow/IPA functionality within the electronic requisition system and serves as the database administrator.

Oversees daily business processes associated with the procurement of goods and services including Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), eFax communications, electronic orders, authorization process, vendor maintenance, and requesting location set ups.

Manages, monitors and updates item master file and provides timely responses to add or change requests through the established control log located on the Item Master Maintenance Workgroup Sharepoint site. Implements the recommended changes provided by item master enhancement software. Ensures internal and system integrity control standards are always at the forefront of any item master changes.

Provides guidance and assistance to the Supply Chain Management team with data collection and reporting needs, while adhering to hospital and regulatory guidelines.

Collaborates with Information Management staff and other users related to procurement systems database and interface problems. Tracks procurement system issues with appropriate consultants, as necessary.

Monitors transmission of supply requisitions/information to and from Lawson and works closely with supply chain Inventory system analyst as needed.

Identifies, troubleshoots and coordinates Lawson procurement system resolutions with appropriate IM database administrator as necessary.

Oversees and ensures the daily business processes associated with procurement goods and services meet organizational expectations. Acts as departmental liaison responsible for managing Procurement application related systems. Works closely with the supply chain departments and/or external resources necessary to resolve issues.

Collaborates with leadership on special projects and initiatives to enhance/streamline daily business processes either by utilizing existing system functionality or implementing third party software.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or related field. A combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience is directly related to the functions of the job.

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience is required supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications and systems. Experience in healthcare preferred.

Prior knowledge of Lawson procurement/ERP system applications strongly preferred.

Prior knowledge of Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) and/or completed database administrator certification strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft windows OS and applications.

Excellent facilitation and project management skills. Ability to manage assigned projects to specified budget and time line with minimal supervision. Must be able to prioritize, organize and assess work in order to meet aggressive deadlines and cope in fast-paced environment.

Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills. Ability to articulate facts and ideas clearly and concisely. Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and clearly articulate potential solutions.

Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of system analysis, while able to consider business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Capable of working in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team and interacting with all levels of the organization.

Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality relating to employee/patient and hospital.
