Responsibilities:
·
Coordinating and transferring process from Lab-to-Fab

·
Provide support to customer engineers working on dry etch process development
to demonstrate TEL Etch product performance, as well as improvements to existing products and processes for CMOS/Memory Etch process development

·
Operate metrology tools to qualify process equipment and optimize processes

·
Run Experiments by adjusting hardware/software parameters

·
Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot process/integration problems

·
Help to compile, analyze measured data and report internally or to customer

·
Working with engineers to develop recommendations and prepare changes, additions, and modifications, which will facilitate equipment production and sales

·
Will involve frequent travels and longer period stay in Japan and possibly SE Asian countries.
Travel will be 50% – mostly internationally. Trips may be 1 – 3 months at a time.

Must be willing to adapt to Japan work culture

Qualifications:
·
Minimum of M.S. in a technical science / engineering related discipline, preferably MS in chemical engineering, material science or plasma physics OR Bachelors + 2 years or related experience.

2 years process engineering experience working in the semiconductor industry or LED or related industry preferred

·
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applying known analytical techniques to evaluate and characterize process results

·
Demonstrated experience in developing test plans to characterize plasma etch results using statistical experiment method

·
Experience working with customer in implementing new solutions preferred

·
An excellent verbal and written communication skill is a must

·
Japanese /English Bilingual language skills preferred or willingness to learn

·
Ability and desire to live and work in a multicultural teams in US and Japan a must

Candidates with project management experience or having previously demonstrated a strong self-directed skill set is preferred

Physical Requirements:

Job duties may be performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds may be required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional overnight travel to TEL factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.
