The opportunity:
SAP Solutions Consultants (SCs) are responsible for supporting the sales functions as described above. Successful candidates should have a solid/deep understanding of business processes (SAP in particular), be comfortable with providing live demonstrations of our solutions and possess the ability to interact with end-users, business managers and IT in a language they each understand. In addition, SCs must be able to discuss our software products, enterprise class architectures and how to implement our software with IT personnel.

You are great at:

Participating in account qualifying and discovery processes
Conducting customer appointments, presentations and product demonstrations independently or in support of Sales Account Executive.
Clarifying business processes (what the customer is trying to accomplish) versus technical processes
Determining Solutions (putting all the right pieces together to satisfy business requirements)
Assisting with value engineering (ROI analysis/business case)
Mentoring/Training of SAP Solution Engineers
Technical writing for RFP responses and other documents
Supporting marketing trade shows

What it takes:

Knowledge of business processes such as Finance, HR, Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management within SAP or other leading ERP systems
Communication Skills

o Excellent verbal and written skills

o Presentable and effective in front of customers

o Ability to act as “interpreter”: Translate customer needs into business solutions, communicating with OpenText sales and technical groups as needed

o Ability to tailor message to audience based on business role (user, manager, IT, C-Level)

o Software demonstration skills focused on business value

o Able to cultivate strong relationships with customers, partners and peers
