Principal Software Engineer – Enterprise Applications

You will be driving system design decisions and working directly with the core technology team on developing technologies and products

Exciting! What Qualifications are You Looking for in an Ideal Candidate?

• Extensive experience with enterprise-grade system architecture design and implementation, ability to think through and write up system and component specification documents and contribute to their implementation
• Experience working with Ubuntu, CentOS, and RedHat servers
• Proficiency with current server-side technologies such as Docker (and related tools), Cassandra, Chef or Puppet, Vagrant, GitLab
• Experience with back-end JavaScript and Node.js
• Experience with Bash scripting, without outright hating it, is a plus
• Experience with the development, testing, and deployment of software created with the GO tool chain
• Experience with Mesos, Kubernetes, and/or CoreOS a plus, but not required. Similarly, experience with OpenStack, VMWare tools, IBM Platform and similar tools can be a big help
• If you don’t have all of that, at least have deep experience with C/C++, Java, C# or the ability to pick up and learn any language and framework really fast
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, change priorities dynamically, and wear multiple hats as needed
