Pricing Analyst

As a Compute & Networking Business Unit (CNBU) Pricing Analyst, at Micron, you will hold a key role in driving business results by optimizing pricing across a broad range of products into key segments. You will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and implementing pricing strategies based upon segment strategies and competitive market dynamics. You will work closely with marketing, finance, sales, business operations and Micron authorized distributors to establish pricing programs/proposals aligned with business plan strategies.

Responsibilities:

Gather market and customer intelligence from analyst reports, articles, sales team and understand product lifecycle and supply/demand across product lines

Provide analytics and develop a price strategy in alignment with segment marketing and executive teams

Communicate pricing strategy to sales team, providing supporting data where needed

Close collaboration with sales before/during/after negotiation to gather customer input on price targets, competitive pricing and share award

On-going communications with sales and marketing to discuss price strategy, customer feedback and opportunities for price optimization

Responsible for timely price quotes including contract, distribution and budgetary pricing

Active participant in marketing meetings to understand segment business plans, customer and product strategy and to share data that identifies opportunities for price optimization

Drive meetings across marketing segments and business units to review, adjust and align product strategies which feed into price maintenance tools; supporting budgetary pricing, price floors, price ranges and distribution prices

Quarterly price performance and opportunity review with CNBU marketing and sales

Provide content for quarterly price newsletter

Quarterly business plan ASP alignment across CNBU segments

Stakeholder in cross BU pricing policies

Provide subject matter expertise and training on pricing methodology, processes, tools and policies

Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers and subject experts across the company

Excellent analytical and the ability to extrapolate data, interpret and create a course of action

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience in other reporting or analytical software

Ability to lead, challenge and influence at all levels

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree or higher and 5+ years related work experience in areas such as Pricing, Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Finance or related experience in a high-tech industry.

Your Role :
Support the Resorts annual pricing process by evaluating key business drivers to measure the success of pricing decisions, incorporating science based insights to identify strategic opportunities, and collaborating with Partners to project manage and execute annual pricing decisions and initiatives.

Design and maintain standard reports and predictive models, and create detailed analysis to evaluate the success of initiatives and help identify areas of improvement.

Regularly collaborate with key partners to communicate performance, understand new initiatives, and support strategic opportunities. What We’re Looking For :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field

Proven proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Experience in working with complex and large volumes of data, and database applications

Demonstrated strong analytical skills

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work in a team environment with a positive demeanor

Demonstrated strong partnering skills and willingness to share creative and new ideas

Demonstrated strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact How To Stand Out :

Master’s degree or equivalent

Demonstrated knowledge of SAS/SPSS, and a willingness to learn new software applications

Working knowledge of Business Objects

Demonstrated knowledge of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts hotels
