PHP Developer

We are seeking a Mid-Level+ PHP developer to join our stellar team to help develop a variety of projects – projects that you are going to be proud of and keep on your stats card. You’ll be a great fit if you have a passion for getting things done – and getting them done right. You are experienced, but you also like to learn new things. And you want to work with smart people and have fun building something great.

Key Responsibilities:

Build robust and scalable software in PHP
Design and create services and system architecture for your projects, and contribute and provide feedback to other team members
Take part in code reviews
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms and products
Work with team members to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution
Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results on schedule

Desired Skills and Experience:

3+ years of recent PHP development
Relational Database experience
Solid PHP knowledge, and strong understanding of OOP – you should know how to create software that’s extensible, reusable and meets desired architectural objectives
A track record of projects completed on time – you are a doer, not a procrastinator
You find satisfaction in a job well done and want to solve head-scratching challenges
You’re so much fun to work with, that your team looks forward to coming to work so that they get to work with and learn from you

Nice to have, but not necessary:

Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Experience with Moodle
Experience with MySQL
Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript
Familiarity with Zend and/or Laravel Framework
Experience with WordPress and/or Drupal
Understanding of JQuery, Bootstrap, Angular, React
Experience with other Javascript libraries
Experience with .NET, C#
