Division: Controller Division

Work Location : Administrative Office, Oklahoma City

Working Title: Payroll Accountant

Key Duties:

• Prepares and processes all monthly, supplemental and off-cycle payrolls and related reports.

• Processes all voluntary and involuntary deductions withheld for each payroll.

• Prepares all payroll journal entries.

• Prepares all check requests related to payroll business including FICA savings, merit charges and workers’ compensation.

• Reconciles revolving payroll and revenue accounts.

• Assists in the miscellaneous cash receipts process.

• Serves as agency Retirement Coordinator and processes all associated paperwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or a closely related field plus one year of professional accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of bookkeeping for each year of the required degree.
