Position Description

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for performing a variety of administrative support duties related to patient care, including scheduling appointments, gathering and distributing information for patient collections and billing, and facilitating hospital admissions for patients. The position requires working patiently, efficiently and accurately to ensure an ideal patient experience.

Position Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years clerical or customer service experience in a hospital or medical office. Prior collections experience in a medical setting, including knowledge of medical terminology. Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Excellent communication and strong customer service skills. Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on computer. Typing skills of 50-60 wpm.

License/Certification Requirements: No

Work Hours: 8:30a-5p

Weekend Requirements: No

On-Call Requirements: No
