What you will do:

The Packaging Materials Administrator plans and coordinates the packaging components required to support Tillamook and production partners’ operations; verifies receipt of materials from suppliers; coordinates sale or transfer and shipment of materials to partners; utilizes ERP, inventory reports and Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) to ensure short- and long-term production needs are supported; prepares for and attends scheduling, product lifecycle planning and packaging supplier meetings; prepares purchase orders for submission to suppliers. Performs reporting and administrative tasks in support of purchasing department as needed.

Here’s a day in the life:

  • Utilizes ERP and planning software(s) to plan and coordinate materials required to support production. Provides suppliers with long- and short-term projections, orders and releases.
  • Reviews partner packaging inventory reports and provides materials necessary to support forecasted production plans.
  • Attendance at production scheduling, product life-cycle planning and department meetings.
  • Supports packaging design transitions (new product development, discontinuation, redesigns) by gathering and analyzing inventory and demand to avoid obsolescence.
  • Administrative support for purchasing department.
  • Creates and executes purchase orders and packaging materials shipments in ERP.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Utilize a computer with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. SharePoint experience is a plus.
  • Act as a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company.
  • Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and have good time management skills to meet strict deadlines under pressure.

Skills you’ll need:

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma is required. An associate degree is preferred; a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field is a plus.

Experience with inventory control, understanding of Manufacturing Planning Cycle and using ERP system (MS Navision –NAV experience preferred).
