Oracle Database Administrator

Proven ability to apply technical experience with databases and applications to be supported. Apply ability to learn and teach technical information. Apply competence in customer service techniques. Possess a minimum of seven years customer support experience. Seven years of experience, of which at least five years must be specialized. Experience as an Oracle applications database administrator and architect, experience of physical and logical Oracle database administration. Strong skills with Oracle applications, databases and management tools. Has administered databases of greater than 1 TB size through the complete cycle of projects. Strong expertise in performance tuning, backup recovery, architecture, capacity planning and troubleshooting.

Possess seven years of experience with Database and application performance monitoring, analysis and tuning. Monitor and optimize database performance and resources. Candidate will participate in all phases of data extraction, conversion and uploading. Provides database management expertise and provides training to junior database administrators. On-call or out of hours work may be required.

Possess installation, configuration and operational experience with COTS packages such as, Hyperion Financial reporting suite, CACI Comprizon Suite, CACI Comprizon and Sunflower PPMS.

Possess Oracle 11g, SQL, PL/SQL, DBA, RMAN, Grid Control, Designer, Discoverer and Developer configuration experience.

Possess configuration and administration experience of middleware and other applications such as, but not limited to, Oracle WebLogic and IBM WebSphere.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or four years of experience.
