Mentors and supports implementation of initiatives that improve safety performance. Deliver safety training. Role model for safety awareness in the department.

Participates in safety evaluations and develops / implements corrective action plans.

Cast (employee) regulatory training.

Direct Report leader development.

Lead hourly hiring process.

Workflow scheduling and partnership with vendors/suppliers.

Oversee on-the-job-training of new hires and transfers.

Monitor daily operations checklists and metrics.

Managesto the annual operating plan for the area.

Daily operations inspections and observations of Cast (employee) performance.

Supervise and monitor daily activity in a given area of the warehouse, which could be receiving, order selection, replenishment, put-away, or inventory integrity tasks.

Monitor flow of inbound / outbound pallet loading operations.

Ensure high order accuracy and fill rate to customers.

Ensure compliance with all operating guidelines, safety regulations, and local union contract.

Monitor individual and team performance measures.

Select and distribute customer special and add-on orders (event/weather driven, high demand, etc.).

Partner with internal leaders to ensure completion of daily tasks. Develop key internal and external partnerships.

Adheres to current Craft Maintenance Council Union Labor Agreement.

Develop productivity enhancement initiatives.

Lead Performance Management accountability for department.

Actively controls cost. Implements labor and material waste reduction activities.

Operations Managers will develop and present projects, initiatives, and training to large groups of Cast and Guests.

Excels in planning, implementation, and sustainability of initiatives.

Lead project teams, complete root cause analysis, coordinate supplier and vendor activities, and determine capital and direct purchase needs for the department.

Facilitate Distribution Center tours for Cast and Guests.

Anticipate staffing needs, scheduling requirements, and continuous improvement operations.

Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics or related field.

Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.

Demonstrated computer proficiency to include Windows and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Demonstrated problem solving skills, as well as continuous improvement process skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage conflict/resolution.

Demonstrated strong background in a supply chain, logistics, warehousing, or related operation for 3 years minmum. Automation experience a plus.

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Demonstrated effective leader of leaders (minimum 3 years experience)

Proven experience and a strong understanding of operational systems, with a preference for WMS and WCS systems. Oracle Retail WMS a plus.

Strong Customer Service orientation.

Demonstrated strong budget and scheduling management skills.

Demonstrated strong business planning skills.

Bi-lingual (Spanish a plus).

Experience in application of Lean Manufacturing Principles.

Demonstrated experience in leading in a union environment.

Demonstrated project management skill and ability.

Demonstrated understanding of 5S and KAIZEN principles.

Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related field.

Master’s degree or equivalent.

This leader will be responsible for daily functions and performance of one department within a warehouse and distribution operation, while developing and mentoring subordinate salaried leaders. In addition to creating the annual continuous improvement and overall strategic plan and managing the operating budget for the area, this leader will monitor and support all aspects of safety & regulatory training, payroll, operation inspections, and daily observations of Cast (employee) performance. Physical inventory control, customer service, monitoring the flow of inbound and outbound pallet loading operations, and ensuring that the department remains in compliance with all operating guidelines, safety regulations, and local union contract is pivotal to this role. Labor planning, and building partnerships with other local internal and external departments in support of our retail shops property wide is a key performance indictor for this role. Demonstrated computer skills and problem solving experience is essential.
