Job Description:
Residential Capital Management/Ameritrust Residential Services division- is seeking a Operations Manager with current or prior Utility Power company experience to support project assignments.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for implementing KPIs, processes and procedures for all utility coordination and delivery. Position is based in Atlanta, GA and minimal travel may be required. Will be responsible for a team .

The Operations Manager will manage the project schedule and coordinate the ordering of equipment and power as applicable for all territories.

Prior project management experience working with the local power and utilities company in construction is preferred with projects that consist of construction, rehab, and maintenance within the single family home industry.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities :

  • Manages the profit & loss, job cost, cash flow, contract deliverables, and increase asset yield for all of assigned projects
  • Keep project managers informed of utilities for project progress, issues and projected completion dates
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of utility contracts and utility expectations
  • Monitors project status and ensures system data is accurate, timely, and complete
  • Advises the management team on key planning issues and makes recommendations on important business decisions, risks and threats
  • Works in close collaboration with multiple teams in the identification of functional, organizational and/or procedural issues and bring about swift and effective solutions
  • Ensures quality control of all delivery of utility services
  • Responsible for implementing utility delivery strategy’s, as outlined by the Director of Construction, for utility providers within the regions
  • Ensures compliance with standard processes and procedures and safety requirements for all project managers and subcontractors
  • Coordinates regular regional and national meetings including to discuss infrastructure execution issues, progress, risks and roadblocks for utilities

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Six Sigma Background preferred
  • Experience in construction, and/or public utility is required
  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience with utility or power
  • Minimum five (5) years of related program leadership
  • Experience as a new business agent for a power company, commercial PM for the power company or experience with power ordering for construction
  • Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams and across widely varying stakeholders in an organization
  • Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), as position requires communication with senior executives on a regular basis; results oriented, problem solving individual
  • Strong project management experience and a commitment to quality and cost consciousness
  • Executive presence, strong Interpersonal and Verbal Communication Skills
