*Due to the rapid growth of this dynamic NYC based consumer goods company which designs and manufactures trend setting accessories they are adding the position of Director of Operations. The Director will manage their Operations team: Logistics, Import, EDI, Domestic, Production and Customer Service/Billing. You will need to oversee these areas along with their warehousing to make sure the orders are being shipped and delivered on time, forecasting, compliance with manufactures, troubleshooting etc.You will be responsible for organizing daily logistical operations, order fulfillment and distribution.

REQUIREMENTS:

7+ years relevant experience in Logistics/Distribution industry

Have held the title of Director of Operations preferably.

e-Commerce experience preferred.

Experience dealing with freight forwarders & airlines is a plus.

A background in consumer goods on the wholesale side dealing with major retailers.

Strong knowledge of warehousing, logistics, forecasting, compliance.

Someone who is proactive and knows how to manage orders.

You should have hands on experience working with EDI, third party warehouses, vendors & logistics partners.

Experience managing a team with very good leadership abilities.

Excellent communication skills both written and in person.

Very strong knowledge of EXCEL with advanced skills.

Willing to work and present new technology to advance productivity

Available to travel once per month to LA
