Acorns is seeking an Operations Associate to build and maintain customers’ trust in Acorns as a revolutionary investing service.

As an Operations Associate, you’ll provide oversight for a variety of operational tasks and reconciliation processes. Duties may include: approving new accounts, processing documentation from outside firms, reconciling transactions; reviewing monthly statements; producing department level reporting using multiple sources; creating or revising departmental procedures. Providing training or work instructions for staff. Provide support to our servicing team. Reports to Operations Managers.

Job Description:

  • Review that corporate actions are processed correctly, resolving trade errors, identifying suspense positions, etc.
  • Review monthly statements
  • Interface with clearing firm to review trade reports and quarterly trade activity
  • Provide oversight of policies and procedures
  • Open new accounts
  • Verify incoming deposits and approve withdrawal requests

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required, preferably in Finance/Accounting or other related field
  • 1-3 years of finance/brokerage experience
  • Series 7, 63 or 66 licenses and the ability to obtain Series 24 within 90 days of hire
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn proprietary web-based account services applications
  • Appreciation for compliance and adherence to government regulations
  • A passion for Acorns and a desire to share that enthusiasm and knowledge with customers
  • Ability to work independently and effectively
  • High degree of professionalism and poise
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
