On-site Sales Representative (American Airlines)

Job Title : On-site Sales Representative American Airlines Tulsa, OK

Reports to : Regional Sales Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represents The Wencor Group at the respective airline.
  • Manages inventory for the Wencor group at the airline, including placing purchase orders in systems for both companies.
  • Submits PMA packages and push them through the PMA approval process.
  • Sets up on-site testing.
  • Borrows sample and scrap parts.
  • Clears up receiving and quality issues.
  • Follows up with Wencor engineering about PMA developments.
  • Works with airline and Wencor engineering to find PMA opportunities.
  • Analyzes data and gives saving and sales reports to the airline on a quarterly basis.
  • Submits PMA contract proposals.
  • Gathers PMA market data.
  • Pursues both long-term agreements and PMA development contracts.
  • Prepares proposals and bids.
  • Represents The Wencor Group in a positive, professional, and thorough manner.
  • Helps with collections as needed.
  • Maintains highest level of customer satisfaction.

Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical manuals and procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to make effective presentations to individuals and groups. Multilingual capabilities are important for some customer groups.

Mathematical Skills : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in many situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Must be fluent with MS Office software and other computer applications generally.
  • Has solid technical and sales experience.
  • Has solid understanding of the aviation industry.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
