.NET Software Engineer

Description

This mid-to-senior developer is responsible for implementing new features as well as maintaining existing software that supports parking devices and payment applications. The applicant is also self-motivated and self-empowered while working independently and in collaboration with a team. The applicant will also have experience with creating installation packages and utility scripts as well as troubleshooting & resolving issues across the full development stack, including SQL Server.

The applicant should also be comfortable with end-to-end testing of software applications across multiple parking devices, including the need to install software updates across multiple development environments. An ideal candidate has experience with DevOps / continuous integration of software development, package installation and rollout of software applications both internally and externally to customers. Specific Responsibilities Develop software to meet business requirements & technical specifications Correct software bugs within specified dates, as required Work with technical team to analyze database schema and modify as necessary to meet requirements Implement new features Work with Quality Assurance and technical support teams to verify output Required Skills and Experience Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent Five or more years of professional software development experience Fully fluent in the verbal and written application of English US Citizenship, permanent resident or L-1 visa required Professional experience developing web / mobile applications using Microsoft Visual Studio HTML5, CSS, JavaScript / AJAX / jQuery, Twitter Bootstrap & Angular JS, Modernizr, React Experience with ASP.NET MVC, C#, ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET Web Forms, Visual Basic Experience with web services: RESTful Experience with Entity Framework Experience with SQL Server: T-SQL, Stored Procedures Experience with package installation software (e.g. InstallShield, WiX) Desired Skills and Experience Experience with PA-DSS (PCI compliance) Experience with responsive web development Experience with Team Foundation Server Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Experience or familiarity with automated build servers Experience with working in an Agile environment including daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, & Agile tools and best practices (tools to support Agile: Jira, TFS/Teams Services, etc.) Experience with release planning, incident management, and continuous integration / continuous development Experience or familiarity with comm port serial programming (e.g. RS-485) or other machine-to-machine messaging communication development
